What happened
Morgan Stanley Wealth Management launched AI @ Morgan Stanley Debrief, an OpenAI-powered tool that, with client consent, takes notes in advisor meetings and surfaces action items. Afterward it summarizes key points, drafts an email for the advisor to edit and send, and saves a note into Salesforce. It followed the AI @ Morgan Stanley Assistant, which the firm fully rolled out in September 2023. The press release quotes advisors who say it frees them from note-taking.
