What happened
Dunelm, the UK's leading homewares retailer with about 12,000 colleagues, launched Ask Dunelm in its iOS app in August 2026, built with Google Cloud's Gemini Enterprise for Customer Experience. Shoppers describe what they want in their own words, ask product questions, visualise items in their homes and get tailored recommendations. Dunelm says its app, launched earlier in 2026, has more than 500,000 downloads and that Ask Dunelm is the first of several planned enhancements. It has not published usage or sales results for the agent.
