What happened
On August 7, 2025 Deutsche Bahn presented Kiana, a pilot voice kiosk at the BER airport station. Travelers speak a destination and party size. Kiana uses large language models, answers in nine languages, and sends them to book with a QR code in the DB Navigator app or on bahn.de. It could be tried on weekdays from 9 to 15. rbb24 reported about 1,000 conversations since May 2025, said the voice assistant was still rough, and said the pilot would run until mid October 2025, when DB would decide what came next.
